This degree prepares students to work with children and young people in the context of Church ministry.

The degree is competence-based and aims at providing the students with both the theological underpinnings of youth ministry and faith formation as well as the practical skills needed to be able to
engage with young people in their rapidly changing contemporary context.

Upon completion of the programme students:

Acquire both the theological underpinnings of youth ministry and faith formation as well as the practical skills needed to be able to engage with young people in their rapidly changing contemporary context.

Requirements

  • KCSE mean grade of C Plus or a Diploma in any field OR a Diploma in the same field

  • Youth Patrol: It adopts an ecumenical Christian approach to youth ministry.
  • Catechesis which prepares the student to teach the faith of the Catholic Church, Particularly to youth and children. The degree is competence based and aims at providing the students with both the theological underpinnings of youth ministry and faith formation as well as the practical skills needed to be able to engage with young people in their rapidly changing contemporary context.
