The programme aims at offering basic knowledge and skills to become child and youth workers capable of dealing with contemporary issues of welfare, development, entrepreneurship and advocacy.
Upon completion of the programme students: 1. Are able to apply relevant skills in ministering to youth in diverse situations according to the specific cultural context.
2. Mobilise youth to collaborative action in addressing challenges posed by the society or their cultural context. 3. Foster the capacities of youth to make value-based life choices.

Child and Youth Welfare and Development specialization helps develop professionals capable of orienting and accompanying children and youth in the process of developing their potentialities and place them at the service of their own cultural, social, economic and political enhancement.
b) Specialization of Child and Youth Rights and Advocacy
The specialization in Child and Youth Rights and Advocacy seeks to form a professional capable of making children and youth play a central and proactive role in promoting human rights that can benefit everyone in the society through advocacy.
