A BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF ISRF

ISRF is an Institute in Tangaza which provides professional training in the area of Spirituality/Spiritual Guidance and the Formation of junior members of Religious Congregations. Our core values are respect, integrity, creativity, a faith perspective and professional accountability
A Brief History
ISRF was inaugurated in August 1996. It is entrusted to the Discalced Carmelite Order to help ensure the quality and continuity of its programmes. In 2011, ISRF in collaboration with Saint Anthony of Padua Institute of Africa (SAPIA), developed a one-year certificate and a two-year diploma in Spirituality with Specialization in Franciscan Studies.

A BRIEF EXPLANATION OF WHY THE TUC PROGRAMME IS THE BEST

The ISRF is designed to help students to experience personal transformation so as to be able to help others. This is implemented through workshops, growth groups, integration groups, personal counselling, spiritual direction and spiritual discernment.
A Brief Description of Where Alumnae Are Now
Our alumnae work as formators and spiritual directors. They offer spiritual guidance, accompaniment and discernment in formation houses, seminaries and parishes.

A CONCISE OUTLINE OF THE PROGRAMMES ON OFFER

Currently, the ISRF is running five (5) programmes:

  1. Master of Arts in Religious Studies (CUEA)
  2. Diploma in Spirituality and Religious Formation
  3. Diploma in Franciscan Spirituality
  4. Certificate in Spirituality and Religious Formation
  5. Certificate in Franciscan Spirituality

On the Pipeline are:

  1. BA in Spirituality and Religious Formation;
  2. BA in Psycho-Spirituality Formation
  3. PHD in Spirituality and Religious Formation
