Pedal Training

Dear colleagues,

We invite you, lecturers, to Partnership for Pedagogical Leadership in Africa (PedaL) online training that will be held online in October. The training is partially funded by Partnership for African Social and Governance Research PASGR https://youtu.be/1qUFqThh4fo and Tangaza University College https://tangaza.ac.ke/ which is rolling it out.

This is the second time Tangaza University College organized the workshop.
The first Tangaza-led Pedal 2021-01 was held in May 2021 and 60 lecturers from 13 universities successfully completed the training.

Since its launch in 2018, the PedaL partnership has trained close to 1,700 teaching staff from across the continent in its capacity enhancement workshops. The partnership continues to work closely with university leadership, leveraging available innovative intra-institutional capacities such as learning centers and programmes to strengthen and institutionalize pedagogical training and delivery.

In line with its strategy for sustainable transformation, it is with great pleasure that the PedaL partnership hereby invites you to a Tangaza University College collaboratively organized PedaL online training that will be held from 18th October to 15th November  2021 using Learning Management System (Asynchronous) and six online live sessions (Synchronous).  The live sessions will be on  18th October, 25th October, 1st November, 4th, 9th, and 12th. Participants will learn about constructive alignment especially:

1. Online course design
2. Course Facilitation and
3. Innovative assessment4. Teaching using case methodology

What will this course do to you?
It will transform the way to design your course outlines, the way you facilitate learning, and the way you assess for learning.

After completion of Pedal training and once you successfully complete all the assignments PedaL will issue you a certificate of completion.
