RECONNECT | REFRESH | TRANSFORM

The Alumni Reunion 2024 brought together graduates from various years, spanning decades of shared experiences, to celebrate their alma mater and reconnect with old friends. Hosted at Tangaza University, the hybrid eventwas a resounding success, fostering a sense of belonging and pride among the alumni as they were happy to come back to Tangaza, now a fully-fledged Catholic University!

The event kicked off with a warm welcome reception, where the alumni were officially welcomed back to the University by Rev. Dr. Leo Simon I. Mwenda, OP, The Deputy Vice Chancelor, Finance and Administration who is a proud Alumnus of Tangaza, School of Theology (SOT). In his speech, he gave an assurance to the Alumni of the support from the University Administration led by our Vice Chancellor Rev. Prof. Patrick Mwania, CSSp.

Mr. Steven Mbobu (Interim Chair) for Tangaza University Alumni association introduced a brief history of the Association and the future plans and encouraged members to register for full membership through payment of membership annual fee of Kshs. 500.00 so that the team can organize for Annual General Meeting (AGM) before the end of the year.

Our able MC Mr. Geoffrey Ngui Alumnus of the School of Education set a friendly atmosphere, paving the way for the Alumni to reminisce about cherished memories. He shared a testimony of total transformation from Tangaza thanking Br. Prof. Paulos W. Mesmer, FSC, EdD, PsyD who ensured that he completed his studies.

A keynote address by our guest speaker, Ms. Wageni Kimani, a distinguished alumnus from the Institute for Social Communication, set the tone for the reunion.
