Fundraising Year (2024-2025) – Learning Resource Center

Introduction
Under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor and with the permission and support of University Council, Tangaza university wishes to conduct a 1 year fund raising drive to build a Learning resource center.

Rationale
In view of the vision 2030 development strategy of TU and in response to the just acquired university status, the university needs a stand-alone Learning Resource Center (Library & annexed resources) to cater for the envisaged students’ population of 6000 students.

Project Description
Study Resource Center (Project Cost: KES 400,000,000)

Project Impact

  • Creation of Serene and conducive teaching, research and learning environment.
  • Improve the existing infrastructure as per CUE requirement.
  • Improved services to students and staff on site and out of campus.
  • Create space and resources to launch new academic programs.
  • Availing education resources and services to local religious congregations, Educational Institutions and the local community.
  • Promote Eco-friendly operational environment in line SDG no. 1&13.

  • Graduate student’s study offices
  • General study areas.

Appeal

The university makes a humble appeal to partners, stakeholders, friends and all people of good will to be part of this noble project by offering their assistance in one or more of the several models available;

  • Direct monetary donations tied to the projects, and directed to the accounts given below.
  • Donation or pledge of assistance in kind (building materials, professional services etc)
  • Participate in the fundraising dinner slated for November 2024 and/or the fundraising walk slated for February 2025
  • Buy some our branded items in support of the university projects
  • Participate in the mega end of year harambee (fundraising) for projects
  • Volunteer to join any of the fundraising committees for expertise contribution to the fundraising project.
