Ivanna Waweru began her career as a school counsellor at Nova Pioneer Girls High School (Tatu City) immediately after graduating. During her academic tenure at Tangaza, she was recognized as Ms. Culture 2017/18 and demonstrated a strong commitment to community development by supporting teenage mothers to improve their lives and prevent recurrence of early pregnancies, an advocacy inspired by her personal experience.
Ivanna’s dedication to youth welfare has seen her contribute significantly to organizations such as ITHM (a safe house for young mothers in Kajiado), Ruben Centre, Light International School, and Kinderville Junior School. She coordinates a Childhood Trauma Masterclass focused on the healing journey. She is an experienced facilitator, having led workshops and talks on parenting, childhood trauma and workplace wellness across schools, rotary clubs, community groups and corporate environments.
Her therapeutic approach centers on helping individuals of all ages reconnect with and heal their inner child, fostering personal growth and well-being. Ivanna’s philosophy and practical, relatable style make her a compassionate and engaging counsellor.
We commend Ivanna for embodying the spirit of Tangaza University through her dedicated and compassionate efforts to educate, inspire, and transform lives.
