On 6th July, 2025 | Tangaza University hosted The Kenya Universities Debate Championship (#KUDC2025) Nairobi-Kiambu regional. Featured through intense debates, we witnessed over 30 brilliant minds from 15 top universities battling it out to become our #Debate and #Public Speaking Champions. This year’s theme, “Advancing Africa’s Future Through Technology, Social Impact, and Sustainability,” truly sparked insightful and impactful discussions.
Day 1 set the stage with preliminary rounds, structured as quarters and semi-finals, leading to the highly anticipated finals on Day 2. We were also inspired by powerful keynote speeches from Erick Oron and Walter Okelo, who encouraged young debaters to harness their voices for positive change.
As the finalists proceed to the Nationals, Tangaza University shares its gratitude with The Debate Association of Kenya and Walter Okelo Mentorship Program, the main organizers, for their exceptional work as well as the participants, judges and guests for making this event a resounding success.
