Tangaza University Cultural Week 2026: A Dress Code for Every Day

Tangaza University holds its Cultural Week from Monday 12 to Friday 16 October 2026. Each day of the week has its own dress code, and every student and member of staff is welcome to take part.

Tangaza’s students come from many communities and countries. Cultural Week is a chance to dress up, meet people outside your usual circle and enjoy campus life together. The theme for the week is Different Cultures, One Community, Same Vision.

The Dress Code

Monday 12 October: official wear

Suits, blazers, formal shirts, dresses, skirts, trousers and formal shoes. Start the week in your sharpest outfit.

Tuesday 13 October: street wear

Jeans, cargo pants, T-shirts, hoodies, sneakers, caps and jackets. Wear what you would wear on a weekend in town.

Wednesday 14 October: high school wear

Shirts, ties, sweaters, blazers, pleated skirts, trousers, school shoes and backpacks. Bring back your old school uniform, or put together your best version of one.

Thursday 15 October: vintage wear

Classic and old-school shirts, dresses, trousers, skirts, hats, jackets and accessories. Think of the photos from your parents’ student days.

Friday 16 October: sports and jersey wear

Sports jerseys, tracksuits, shorts, sneakers, caps and team-inspired outfits. Wear your club, your national team or your old school team colours.

How to take part

The week has one guiding line: be creative, be respectful and show your culture.

Outfits should suit a university campus. Leave out clothing with offensive slogans or images. You can join every day or pick the themes that suit you.

Take photos with your classmates and share them. See you on campus.
